The call
You know even with putting a clock on my website and still get calls in the middle of the night having people wanting to get advise or share their wireless mesh experience.
Today was a little different I recieve a call about 8:30 am my time from a guy calling me from London, around the corner form Richard, from Locustworld, which he originates from South Africa, somewhere in the bush. I hope you got all that and was wondering why I didn't write everyday of my experience using wireless mesh technology.
My goal is to build the biggest wireless mesh however I do need to feed my family and the need to produce funds to make meshbox is real requirement. So if you are very wealthy and you want to take a chance of making tons of money I'm looking for investors in order to make this a wonderful company. All I need is some seed money and off I go.
Back to the call. Well the gentleman was very enthusiastic and really want to know more about wireless mesh. Most people like to research before they try and when they try it should be fairly easy to do.
One of things that I tried to avoid telling people to do is go and try it out. Because I think a well research person requires the right tools to make the right choice for the right solution. However in this case sometimes rather than trying to come up with the best scenario sometimes a little trial and error could help.
The best way when starting a trial and error solution is to start with the basics. That is create a meshbox with a omni directional antenna. Next second and third one. Try it out. To extend range use bigger antennas.
